PDNotizen was created to help making notes for field service.

It was intentionally kept simple and was written based on the input of pioneers working in a big city in Germany.
The app consists of five main screens:

- Overview of territories
- Overview of return visits
- Overview of not-at-homes
- General notes
- Settings

Overview of territories:
Territories can be entered into the app with a description and a territory number. When taking a picture (e.g. map of the territory), you first have to grant access to use the camera. Within a territory, you can enter corresponding streets. You also can select whether only one person/family live in the house or several people or families.

Depending on that selection you are taken to the following screens:
One resident per house: You can enter the residents name with the house number.
Several people per house: You first have to enter the house number and for each house number you can enter the people living in that house.
Afterwards, you can enter notes for each resident/family.

If a resident was not at home, you can select “NH”. This entry is also displayed in the not-at-home-overview.

In case you made a return visit, you can select the corresponding switch so that the return visit is counted for the final monthly report (see the settings menu).

If you have left any literature, you can select it from a list and enter the number of magazines/brochures, etc.

In case you entered an appointment and what this appointment to be stored in the calendar, you first have to grant access to use the calendar.

If you selected magazines, the number is automatically set to 2

Hint:
- If you tap the Territories-tab twice, you see the overview of territories

Overview of return visits:
In this overview, all residents are listed where you had arranged a return visit. Return visits are detected from the last note of a resident.

Overview of not-at-homes:
In this overview, all residents are listed that you haven’t met during your last visit. Not-at-home-addresses are detected from the last note of a resident.

General notes:
Sometimes it might be necessary to make notes independent of a resident. Then you can enter these notes here.

Settings:
In the settings menu you can extend the literature, for example you can add the current magazines. You can also delete literature which you never use in field.

You may also enter a recipient for the monthly report which can be sent by email.

General hints:
- Hours and studies have to be entered manually before sending an email
- You can adjust all numbers before sending an email
- The app was designed to be used on an iPhone, but can also be installed on an iPad
- All data is stored in a local database on your iPhone and it NOT written to the cloud. Therefore, I don’t offer any synchronization between devices
